Where The Platypus Lives And How It Eats

The platypus is found on the eastern side of Australia as well as Tasmania. Although the platypus is normally found in water it only collects food from the water it actually lives in a burrow. They collect food by swallowing it whole, this is because they don't have a stomach defined as a acid producing part of the gut. It has a pouch though where it stores its food.
